Sophie Claire Annen
My name is Sophie Claire

All my life I have been fascinated by the human body, its infinite possibilities for movement and expression, its subtle language and the way it shapes our relationship with the Self, Other and the World.

My work is rooted in intentional self-observation, self-inquiry and self-responsibility. If you are here, you might feel called to take responsibility for your life, yearning for more connection, being willing to meet yourself in the depth, desiring for a change.

My promise is that the most authentic, whole, free version of yourself emerges from choosing to meet yourself fully. It lies in choosing yourself.

Through the creation of different containers where the body feels safe to contact its depth, archived memories and desires, my intention is to re-write those memories anew or give body to those desires, while teaching the whole system what trust and safety feel like.

I deeply believe in the body’s innate intelligence and ability to regenerate itself when listened and tended to with care and love. In my work, it is the main instrument for inner, outer, long-lasting transformation.

My medicine lies in creating unique experiences while holding the opposites of Life’s spectrum: there is no darkness without light, no contraction without expansion, and no strength without softness.

The way I work is informed by many different modalities that I blend specifically to meet the individual or collective I encounter, responding to its needs in the moment.

What others feel

Sophie’s touch is deeply medicinal and intentional. She had excellent awareness of what my body needed in each moment, and it felt easy to trust her with the intimacy of vulva / vaginal work. Her sensitivity is supreme and I left our session feeling more confident and easeful in my body. What a gift her hands and her presence are.

Eliza T.

Sophie’s positive energy is engaging and contagious, and her ability to make you feel at ease makes this practice unique. Through various movement exercises which engage the whole body, Sophie has the ability to loosen and open you up to a deeply spiritual experience through fears and tensions, culminating in gratitude and pure joy. To anyone who wants to experience something different than usual, I highly recommend trusting and following Sophie’s dynamic and expert guidance.

Gabriela M.

Sophie has held me during a deep emotional release and held a very intentional and sacred space, allowing me to be with all that wanted to be felt. I’m so amazed by how deep this work is and how much can be transformed, physically and emotionally. Thank you very much Sophie for your presence and your devotion, I was able to receive so much healing during our session.

  • When I started Mā School two years ago, in November 2023, I was a completely different woman.

The level of depth, integrity, embodiment, dedication, presence and strength of this work required me to grow into a completely new woman over this period of time.

I had to become her in order to even just *meet* this work.

For two years I have been attending calls, studying anatomy, physiology, without any hands-on training.

I've been diligently preparing my body - vaginal steamings, castor oil packing - fully trusting my teachers guidance, having never even met them.
Nerves, ligaments, arteries names sounded like a totally foreign language.
This has been the biggest investment I have ever made in myself.

Not once did I doubt the path.

Witnessing my teachers and their level of embodiment of everything I believe in, gave me full trust in them, in this work and in the process.

Their being - breathing living examples of what they teach - has always been enough. Even when I couldn't put into words what I was studying, even when nobody around me knew of this body of work, even when reality looked very different.

But that's the beauty.
I get to walk this path as the guiding light for women returning home to their bodies.
I get to be an example for those who are ready to choose themselves—their health, vitality, and longevity. For the ones willing to put in the work because they know their worth and honor their bodies.

These last two weeks, everything landed in a new way the moment I began touching bodies. The moment my hands started remembering.

Being held in the presence of 47 women—from all ages and walks of life—united by the same mission of returning women’s health to women… felt like a deep exhale. Witnessing women owning their power, softness, rawness, playfulness was profoundly comforting. It felt like the natural next step of everything I’ve been cultivating within myself all this time.

I can see now how all of it was preparing me to hold this immensity.

I love every single woman I met. Knowing they’re out in the world sharing their beauty, wisdom, and unique essence warms my heart.

And gives me a whole lot of courage to do the same 🩵
  • I don't take the service I am embarking on to offer soon lightly.

When given the trust to touch bodies I aim to do so having an understanding of all the structures, no matter how small or invisible to the human eye, I might feel and connect to underneath my hands.

Aware that each one of them plays a crucial role in the functioning of the overall system.

When meeting the skin of another being, I want to do so honoring the fact that I am being allowed access to its outermost layer of protection, its physical boundary system.

When listening to connective tissue I want to acknowledge how I might be receiving and transferring information to a whole web of relationships that have been holding the system in place.

When connecting to inner organs I aim to be so attuned to being able to feel their subtle, delicate micromovements, reminding myself of their irreplaceable and powerful nature.

When communicating with the intricate system of structures that carry out bodily functions for us daily, with or without our awareness, I intend to offer them my deepest gratitude.

When touching another woman’s bones, I want to remember I am touching her anchor structure in this physical existence, the part of her that carries the history of her ancestors, the part of her that will live on, beyond death.

Layer after layer, as I am welcomed into another woman’s temple, I will be inviting it to come home to itself and its natural alignment, allowing its inner flows to fully come back to life.

And as buried memories resurface, deep wounds activate, past lives whisper, I want to be able to be there, right to the depth.

As I encounter the stories held in the tissues of the body, I intend to witness them, infusing them with love and presence, offering them a space to rest in.

And, with time and patience, allowing them to transmute.

The body works in magical ways when listened to, tended to, given time 🤲

As I leave for two weeks of hands on, Womb and pelvic care training with @carlyraebeaudry and @mawomenshealth, I would like to let you know that I will start offering this kind of care in Ticino *starting from end of November*.

Reach out if this speaks to you 🩸🌷

When I started Mā School two years ago, in November 2023, I was a completely different woman.

And gives me a whole lot of courage to do the same 🩵
When I started Mā School two years ago, in November 2023, I was a completely different woman.

I don't take the service I am embarking on to offer soon lightly.
